What metrics does Analytics collect?

Requests, visits and bandwidth; top routes; referrers and internet providers; countries; desktop or mobile, operating systems, browsers and HTTP protocols; status codes and content types; top IPs and verified bots. Every list can filter the rest of the dashboard.

Do I need to install any script on my site?

No script installation is necessary. Analytics works 100% server-side, eliminating the need for Google Tag Manager, injected code, or any client-side configuration.

Does Analytics use cookies?

It does not use any cookies. This completely eliminates the need for consent banners and annoying popups that harm the user experience on your site.

Is Analytics compliant with privacy laws?

Analytics was built for LGPD and GDPR: it uses no cookies and no script in the browser, so it needs no cookie consent banner. You remain responsible for the other personal data your site collects.

How does geolocation work?

The country of each request is derived from the visitor's IP on Square Cloud's network. The dashboard shows traffic by country on a map and in a ranked list.

Does Analytics impact my site's performance?

There is no impact on performance. Since there are no client-side scripts (0 KB) and no extra browser requests, your site keeps its original speed.

How are IPs handled?

The dashboard lists the IPs that send the most requests to your site, so you can spot abuse and filter the traffic of a single address. Analytics stores nothing in the visitor's browser: no cookies and no identifiers.

Do I need to configure anything to use it?

No. Every application published as a website on Square Cloud gets the Analytics tab in its dashboard, with no script, tag or setting to add.
