Square Cloud is a self-service cloud hosting platform: you deploy the code, the platform provisions an isolated container, a TLS certificate, logs, metrics and a public address. Every feature below comes with the plan, with no add-ons.

Build and deploy

Every stack is different, but the primitives are the same: an application in an isolated container, a database next to it and a way to ship code. These are the building blocks behind every project hosted on Square Cloud.

Network and domains

Every web application gets a public address with HTTPS the moment Web Publishing is enabled. Your own domain, load balancing, CDN, firewall and DDoS protection come with the plan, on Cloudflare's network.

    An application firewall and always-on DDoS mitigation sit in front of every application, on a backbone of redundant private fibre with 10 Gbps throughput and 20 Tbps of transit through multiple Tier 1 providers.

Scale up and out

Grow an application vertically by giving it more memory, or horizontally by putting several applications behind the same domain with load balancing. Both happen from the dashboard, with no per-request billing.

    Each application and database has an amount of RAM allocated from your plan. Change it in the settings or through the API when the workload grows; upgrading the plan raises the total and applies immediately.

  • Horizontal scaling

    Add the same custom domain to more than one application and the edge balances the traffic round-robin, with automatic failover when an application goes offline. Up to 2 applications per domain on Standard, 5 on Pro and 10 on Enterprise.

    Containers never sleep and there is no cold start: the first request after a quiet night is as fast as the thousandth. If a process exits, it restarts automatically.

See what each application is doing without leaving the dashboard: live logs and status, resource metrics, traffic analytics and error tracking on every plan, latency percentiles on Pro and Enterprise.

Data and storage

Databases, object storage and snapshots live in the same datacenter as the applications that use them, so a query travels 1 ms on average and a restore takes one click.

  • Snapshots and files

    Daily snapshots of applications and databases kept for 7 days, the latest for up to 30 days, manual snapshots before risky changes and rollback in a few clicks. Files and environment variables are edited in the browser, with no rebuild.

Automate and integrate

Everything in the dashboard is also available through code: a public API, official SDKs, a CLI, a GitHub Action, a VS Code extension, a mobile app and an AI agent that works with your application's real context.
